8 of June 2006. The first time I celebrated Alex’s birthday with him.
I really wanted to make it more special and romantic.. but I know my diligent darling will never be able to make it for dinner.. though I did my research for the whole of 2 weeks, I didn’t book any restaurants or hotels in the end.. well, bcos on Monday, Alex worked till 4am and Tuesday till 1 am.. and I guess he has to work late for that week.. no point reserving a table or a room when I can’t even guarantee that he turn up.. didn’t want to tell him before hand as I wanted it as a surprise.!
In the end, decided to wait for him at home quietly, so he can come home after work with a surprise waiting for him at home!
Bought plenty of helium air balloons and decorated his room up.. with little notes on the ribbons of the floating balloons, hinting him where I will be waiting for him.. oh, had to say thank you to Alice and Songgao for helping me bring the balloons back from CenterPoint.. I will never be able to carry all the balloons down orchard road with soo many kids looking at me and attacking my balloons as if I am giving out free balloons. In what way do I look like a clown who give out balloons?
i know heart shape is very tacky.. but what other shape can i do? rectangular?
Anyway, back to Alex’s birthday. Waited for alex with his birthday cake just beside the pool until he finally show up at around 1am. Just soooo happy to see him! Blow out his all melted candles (cos they burn for too long b4 he finally found me). Then back home, I hide his pressie and make him find it.. the rest is a secret..shhh…

On thurday, darling’s birthday itself, went to Raffles’ hotel’s bar and billard to have lunch wif Uncles and Betty wif darlin.. food is not that fantastic.. but I like watching Nico and Betty together.. they seem so close! Nico must be a very good daddy!
Then we had dinner at Crystal Jade Golden Palace. Food is very very good! Thumbs up for that place!
Yar, seem like we are eating a lot.. eat all day long!
