am so irritated wif the crowd yesterday!!

went to town to get myself more decent looking shirts so as to attend the seminar which will last for a week. but everywhere in orchard is packed wif people!! am so irritated! went to a shop, which i wont named names.. but is at wisma..is so crowded cos it has some sales in it.. anyway, who cares for the sale.. i need the shirts!!! and there's these 2 aunties fitting out the clothes and they are grumbling that these doesnt look nice on them, that doesnt look nice on them.. they went in the fitting room each, then they came out turn by turn to show each other what they are wearing.. then, the salesgirl came over and bootlick them, saying that they look gorgeous in the dress.. of cos, the aunties know that they look horrible and they told her that this part is ugly, that part is ugly.. so the salesgirl took more pieces of apparel for them to try.. and more and more.. so, i was next in the queue.. am soooo fed up!! if the salesgirl keep taking so many pieces for them to try, then when will it be my turn? then wat's the point of hanging a sign that says "3 pieces at a time"? am sooooo pissed off that i dumped the skirt and top that i was holding on to at a side and stormed off... wat the f***! are they really trying to do biz or wat? or did i look like someone who will try for fun? c'mon! i had 4 big bags in my hands! and inside the four bags, there's more smaller shopping bigs which i combined together! it was so heavy and u make mi wait for sooooo long!

anyway, i shop alone from 5 to 0930pm.. yar, i have a habit of shopping ALONE. if i shop alone, then will i be able to really get something.. but whenever i shop, like yesterday, i will think that it will be good if i have a friend to help mi carry the heavy stuffs.. but i know i will never get anything when i shopped wif frenz.. so rather shop alone.. and i never stayed in a shop for very long.. but i notice my frenz will stay in a shop and browse piece by piece.. but i normally dun do that.. i just go in, see generally if i like the designs there or not..

anyway, am so tired yesterday!!! was changing in and out, in and out when trying for clothes.. so tiring!!! then finally decide to take a cab home.. lucky i am able to catch one very fast cos one if my bag is already breaking due to the heavy stuffs in it.. then went to join sis and her frenz at ktv.. am went back home and packed my stuffs for the seminar and after that was work.. then finally, i can sleep at 4 am! Finally!

now time is 0942 am.. had to prepare for stuffs and go to the nearby mall to get some more clothes for my frenz wedding! will update when i have private time in my hotel room. Tata!

i am going on a one week course this coming week.. and can't blog everyday.. cos the schedule is real tight. won't be home the whole week and i wonder if there'll be wireless connectivity in my hotel room.. will bring my notebook along for work purposes. will try to update my blog is possible. am so excited to meet new people from all over the world! excited! excited! excited!

went to the norwegian seafood dinner last night..

it was a very last minute thing cos one of the clients couldnt make it so i had to be the reserve.. haha.. but it's great fun.. bought a dress and heels and aini and i took a cab to rush to swiss hotel where the dinner was held.

Upon stepping into the function room where the dinner was held, i was shock!
there's soooo many caucasians!! this is probably the first time i see so many caucasians gathering around in my life!! met people from turkey, russia, germany, hong kong, and of cos, norway!

then, there's speeches etc etc.. it was really about mingling around and making impressions. and when u are there, u just drink wine non stop. it was like red wine, white wine, red wine, white wine, everywhere!!!

u drink wine b4 dinner was served. u drink wine throughout dinner. u drink wine throughout dessert. u drink wine after dinner.. wine wine wine!!

Food was great. had a wonderful lot of sashimi.. love the Saba sashimi.. it was prefect! very very lovely! and the Herrings! was wonderful! esp the tomato based wan.. had a little agrument wif my colleague cos he insisted the prickled herring is nicer.. but i am sure the tomato one is nicer! missed the crabs which serene said is nice and we cant get it anywhere else here.. they are all gone when we want to get some! and the size of the prawns! wow! it was mama mia! beside being the first night where i see so many caucasians together, yesterday is probably the first night where i see sooo many kinds of salmon cooked in different ways!!! there's even prawns and salmon satays! hee!! oh! did i mentioned there's 4 kinds of caviar there? or was it 5? i oni tried two.. and loved them! it was great! but maybe a bit salty..hee..the desserts was fantastic! though it was sinful..hee..

ok.. enough abt the food.. think i had too many fish.. no more fishes for mi for the whole of next week.

meeting people is really the highlights. met 2 clients whom i always heard over the phone.. really nice to meet them in person! they are soo funny! haha.. the thought of them makes mi laugh! and met a lot more people from the same industry.. it was really a real eye opener.. been to quite a no of functions since joining my company.. but this is the largest i had been! and the grandest! guests are all in suits and gowns.. everyone is dressed up!

finally, i escape from all the red wines and white wines wif sharon.. haha..

but this dinner is really a very nice wan! they even got a singer from norway to entertain us.. it's really really fabulous! hope to go again next year!

though we do have an egyptian in our office, doesn't mean dat he had taught us how to survive wif little water.. neither did he teach us how to bring water back to the office by balancing the vase on our head..

it's like water rationing day for mi at work.. well, not only for mi.. is for everyone in the same office as mi.

why? is bcos the bottles of refillable water for the water dispenser had run out and no one realised it... as our usual pantry aunty had been on medical leave for some time..so, poor us had no water to drink since yesterday evening. Initially, Aini and mi were still laughing over it last evening when we first realised that water had ran out.. we thought that water will be here the next morning, which is today. we were laughing and making jokes that a guy colleague of us had finish up all the water cos he usually drinks a lot of water, i think abt an average of 3 cups an hour? dats a lot, rite! and i am not exgeratting, ok! aini can vouch for mi!

ok, back to my water story.. so we went home, not even thinking if there will be water today, well, i never tot dat we will not have water today.. i tot we will have water today. but on my way to work, ms aini sms mi to get her a bottle of mineral water and orange juice.. that troublesome lady.. ok, so went to the smoothie bar we frequent to get her orange juice. didnt get mineral water.. cos it costs 2 bucks a bottle! so ex!! yar, say mi stingy or whatever.. but 2 bucks is way too ex for a mineral water which is oni selling 60 cents at giant or ntuc. and i tot we will have water by noon time and meanwhile aini can have her expensive orange juice which costs $4.65 (note, we have 10% discount as we are regulars. so b4 discount, the orange juice cost 5 bucks).

but, 人算不如天算.. the WATER DID NOT CAME IN, even after lunch!! so one colleague began drinking hot water from the flask wif ice in it.. trying to quench his thirst. and aini says he drank 2 cups at a go! hahahaha..

luckily, our kind relief pantry aunty (yar, who says oni gt relief teacher? pantry aunty also gt relief wan, k!) went to get us 4 big bottles of mineral water. but we have 20 over people in office! and all of us had to survive on the 4 misery bottles.. but can't blame aunty also.. cos she can't carry so many bottles back.

well, i oni drank a cup of water for the whole day.. cos can't keep drinking.. have to leave some for my dear colleagues too.. yar, we can go down and get drinks for ourselves, but everyone wants to finish up their work..

so here, i thank god for creating water. cos water is such an important thing. finally i realised the importance of water today! i promise, i will never waste water!!!

went to remove my stitchings for my wisdom tooth today.. am still very proud of myself. for being so brave during the extraction! and even went straight back to work.. mind u, i didnt used the 5 days mc at all! maybe dat's part of growing up.. cos extracting tooth isnt painful compare to what we have to go through in life.. it's just peanuts!

i love receiving mails. yes, the old traditional way of postman posting the mail, not email. and her card looks so romantic! has got roses printed all over! (can't post the picture cos of my lousy webcam..now had to use webcam to take pictures after i lost my digi cam.. mi so poor thing!)

cravings for today - chocolate fondue!!

had chocolate fondue wif aini for lunch today.. how romantic can we get? haha..

a woman gets craving just and whenever she feels like it.. haha.. woman!

we were just talking abt the chocolate buffet at the fullerton and was like going gar gar over chocolates.. so we decided to hop by coffee club for their fondue!

nice fondue they have there.. chocolate dip is a bit too little for us though.. we asked for the fondue to be topped up.. cost us $, but who cares! a woman's cravings can get as big as anything! when we carave for it, we must have it! hahaha..

but the fruits serving is not bad.. they have strawberries, kiwi, mango cubes and of cos, my favourite banana! wat's a fondue w/o bananas rite! just love bananas! do u know there's a certain properties in banana that help a person become happier after having bananas... i heard it over the FM.. so, when u are upset, try having some bananas!

anyway, i give coffee club fondue a 3.5 star out of 5.

Ladies, touching story..

I am a mother of three (ages 14, 12, 3) and have recently completed my college degree. The last class I had to take was Sociology. The teacher was absolutely inspiring with the qualities that I wish every human being had been graced with. Her last project of the term was called "SMILE".

The class was asked to go out and smile at three people and document their reactions. I am a very friendly person and always smile at everyone and say 'Hello'. Anyway, so, I thought this would be a piece of cake, literally.

Soon after we were assigned the project, my Husband, youngest son and I went out to McDonald's one crisp March morning. It was just our way of sharing special play time with our son. We were standing in line, waiting to be served, when all of a sudden, everyone around us began to back away and then even my Husband did. I did not move an inch. An overwhelming feeling of panic welled up inside of me as I turned to see why they had moved. As I turned around, I smelled a horrible "dirty body" smell and there standing behind me were two poor homeless men. As I looked down at the short gentleman, close to me, he was "smiling". His beautiful sky blue eyes were full of God's light as he searched for acceptance. He said, "Good Day" as he counted the few coins he had been clutching. The second man fumbled with his hands as he stood behind his friend.

I realized the second man was mentally challenged and the blue-eyed gentleman was his salvation. I held my tears as I stood there with them. The young lady at the counter asked him what they wanted. He said, "Coffee is all, Miss" because that was all they could afford. (If they wanted to sit in the restaurant and warm up, they had to buy something. He just wanted to be warm). Then, I really felt it. The compulsion was so great I almost reached out and embraced the little man with the blue eyes. That is when I noticed all eyes in the restaurant were set on me, judging my every action.

I smiled and asked the young lady behind the counter to give me two more breakfast meals on a separate tray. I then walked around the corner to the table that the men had chosen as a resting spot. I put the tray on the table and laid my hand on the blue-eyed gentleman's cold hand. He looked up at me, with tears in his eyes and said, "Thank You." I leaned over, began to pat his hand and said, "I did not do this for you. God is here working through me to give you hope."

I started to cry as I walked away to join my Husband and son. When I sat down my Husband smiled at me and said, "That is why God gave you to me, Honey, to give me hope." We held hands for a moment and at that time, we knew that only because of the grace that we had been given were we able to give.

That day showed me the pure light of God's sweet love. I returned to college, on the last evening of class, with this story in hand. I turned in "my project" and the instructor read it. Then she looked up at me and said, "Can I share this?" I slowly nodded as she got the attention of the class. She began to read and that is when I knew that we, as human beings and being part of God, share this need to heal people and to be healed.

In my own way, I had touched the people at McDonald's, my Husband, son, instructor and every soul that shared the classroom on the last night I spent as a college student.

I graduated with one of the biggest lessons I would ever learn;

ladies - today topic is marina square.

do u know it is newly renovated! well, i work in this area so is not so fasinating to mi cos i dine there almost every day.

anyway.. it is really new! take a deep breath when u walk in! can even smell the "new place smell" when u inhaled the air in there!

there's lots of shops! they have almost everything! fashion - Bebe, espirit, women's secret, little match girl, gripz,charles and keith, think i saw levis too. gifts shops - precious thots is there! there's really a great mixture of shops there. and on the 2nd level, there's also small shops dat sell more funky clothes like those shops in far east/ edge. the newly renovated marina really cater to all!

the resturants, fast food and cafe are also amazing.. they have a hugh collection there.. from what i recall, there's the following :
killney cafe, fins, dian xiao er, cavana, lerk thai, hans, sakae sushi, anderson ice cream, swensens, changing appetite, cafe cartel, carls' junior, secret receipe, genki shushi, billy bomber, macdonalds and more... alot right! can really try dining at the alfresco settings of the macdonald there or the chinese fusion restuarant beside mac.. cos the alfresco seatings there actually face the esplanade.. and is so lovely to dine there during evening.. dun do it in the afternoon when it is so bloody hot, k! hee...

oh! i went there yesterday evening for valentimes dinner and is really queing everywhere, so i decided to walk ard wif my so-called"date", since he have not been there since it reopen.. then i saw heatwave! is not that shoe shop in far east, is a hair salon dat is co-owe by quan yifeng and bryan wong(or wang)! there's a promotion there for coloring of hair! costs only $55 bucks.. cheap rite! didnt went in to enqiry on it.. maybe i will do it today! the shop do look good.. there's also kimage there..

so girls, weekend is hitting soon.. can go there! enjoy!

today is monday.. just got to office and had finish off clearing my mails.. at the moment. there's more to come, i am sure. luckily had work hard enough last night at home, so the mails didn;t really have a chance to pile up. isn't technology so fabulous! allow us to work from home! imagine, if we can't work from home, mails will have a chance to pile up over the weekend!

back to our topic - monday blues.

everyone suffer from them - men and women, even transversites.

so decided to brainstorm and give some ideas on how to spend our monday, making us feel better and make monday seems shorter.. here goes..

things i do to make myself feel better on monday..

1) drink banana mochazine.
2) eat nutella wif marshmellows.
3) drink milo wif marshmellows.
4) bitch wif aini--my colleague cum neighbour at work.
5) going to the executive toilet. lock myself in there and look at the mirror.
6) sending forwarded mails.
7) pamper myself - have a nicer lunch! had mine at secret receipe today! mocha coaca cake!
8) shop around after lunch (if time allows)
9) brush teeth, floss teeth, gargle with listerine.
10) drink rebina

so i decided to start blogging again.

decided to start off wif flowers. cos valentimes' day is just two days away. have u ever been to town on V day? almost all the girls had a bouquet of flowers in her hands. some had liles, some had sunflowers and of cos, roses of all shades.

what is your favourite? i love all kinds of flowers, as long as they are beautifully wrapped up. oh! but i hate yellow roses! yucks!

if i really had to choose one fav flower, it got to be morning glory! though morning glory appears to be weak, w/o a stalk of its own and just bind itself on fences, do u know morning glory is actually a weed?! yes, i repeat - weed. a weed doesnt say die easily. it can be trampled on. but it will still bloom again beautifully the next morning. girls, that's the spirit!

but too bad, no florists sell morning glory..
