it's like water rationing day for mi at work.. well, not only for mi.. is for everyone in the same office as mi.
why? is bcos the bottles of refillable water for the water dispenser had run out and no one realised it... as our usual pantry aunty had been on medical leave for some time..so, poor us had no water to drink since yesterday evening. Initially, Aini and mi were still laughing over it last evening when we first realised that water had ran out.. we thought that water will be here the next morning, which is today. we were laughing and making jokes that a guy colleague of us had finish up all the water cos he usually drinks a lot of water, i think abt an average of 3 cups an hour? dats a lot, rite! and i am not exgeratting, ok! aini can vouch for mi!
ok, back to my water story.. so we went home, not even thinking if there will be water today, well, i never tot dat we will not have water today.. i tot we will have water today. but on my way to work, ms aini sms mi to get her a bottle of mineral water and orange juice.. that troublesome lady.. ok, so went to the smoothie bar we frequent to get her orange juice. didnt get mineral water.. cos it costs 2 bucks a bottle! so ex!! yar, say mi stingy or whatever.. but 2 bucks is way too ex for a mineral water which is oni selling 60 cents at giant or ntuc. and i tot we will have water by noon time and meanwhile aini can have her expensive orange juice which costs $4.65 (note, we have 10% discount as we are regulars. so b4 discount, the orange juice cost 5 bucks).
but, 人算不如天算.. the WATER DID NOT CAME IN, even after lunch!! so one colleague began drinking hot water from the flask wif ice in it.. trying to quench his thirst. and aini says he drank 2 cups at a go! hahahaha..
luckily, our kind relief pantry aunty (yar, who says oni gt relief teacher? pantry aunty also gt relief wan, k!) went to get us 4 big bottles of mineral water. but we have 20 over people in office! and all of us had to survive on the 4 misery bottles.. but can't blame aunty also.. cos she can't carry so many bottles back.
well, i oni drank a cup of water for the whole day.. cos can't keep drinking.. have to leave some for my dear colleagues too.. yar, we can go down and get drinks for ourselves, but everyone wants to finish up their work..
so here, i thank god for creating water. cos water is such an important thing. finally i realised the importance of water today! i promise, i will never waste water!!!
